’36 July’ Exhibition Stuttgart, Germany

September 12, 2024

The exhibition ’36 JULY’- A visual archive of July revolution is co-curated by Sadya Mizan and Ruxmini Reckvana Q Choudhury, focuses on the 2024 student protests in Bangladesh. Originally directed against an unjust quota system and evolved into a major political revolution that took down a long-term fascist regime and reforming the country’s history.

This exhibition aims to serve as a platform for recognizing the contributions of artist activists in the protest and to archive the historical discourse of the 36 days of revolution for future generations. It is a cartographic reflection of the events, featuring multidisciplinary works by various artists from Bangladesh. ’36 JULY’ seeks to contribute to global awareness, foster shared dialogue, and promote solidarity.
